History & Vision
In March 2000, while attending a Christian conference in Phoenix, Arizona, Erin Blanchette & Gloria Roberts simultaneously recognized God’s voice calling them to establish a women’s retreat ministry. Within a few minutes the name, Vine of Grace, emerged as they both agreed that John 15:5 was to be the ministry’s scriptural foundation.
Having worked together in teen ministry, they had experienced a successful format for teen retreats and realized with a few adjustments they could develop a dynamic and anointed women’s ministry. Four months later they were offering their first retreat in Morenci, Arizona. Beginning with a team of four, the ministry has now created a team of many wonderful women of Grace over the past 22 years!. The ministry offers women’s retreat, a Weekend of Worship, pilgrimages, and sponsors special events each year. Vine of Grace is also a 501 c 3 organization.
Vine of Grace currently travels throughout Arizona holding several retreats a year, as well as, one Weekend of Worship conference. The team will travel wherever they are invited and offers many retreat formats and themes including parish staff training and retreats, parish council retreats, parish missions and advent & Lenten retreats.
The ministry hopes to ultimately minister nationwide and internationally offering retreats and developing retreat ministry teams through a mentoring & training program.
